Here at All-Star Chem-Dry, we believe in providing our customers with a service that is clean, safe, and greatly improves the life and health of both their carpets and their families. Because this is our goal, you can always count on our carpet cleaning pros to be prompt, professional, and get the job done while answering any questions you may have.
We do our best to make it clear what you can expect every step of the way, so here are some things you can do before we even enter your home to make sure you have the smoothest experience possible.
Don’t worry about completely de-cluttering your house before our team arrives (unless you’ve just been inspired by Marie Kondo, in which case, you might not be able to help it!) but do make sure to move as many things that take up space on the carpet as possible so they’ll be able to clean every inch. This step is also important because it removes tripping hazards that can make getting the job done a lot harder and less safe. Common items that cause trouble are shoes, books, and toys- including dog or cat toys if you have pets!
Relocate light furniture pieces
Heavier or bulkier pieces of furniture like sectionals or dressers can stay where they are and we’ll simply clean around them, but moving what you can will help us to perform the best job possible. Our carpet cleaners are just that- which means they aren’t furniture moving pros, so it’s important that you move the items yourself if they can be temporarily relocated. Simply by moving smaller things like coffee tables, stools, and floor lamps, you can improve the ease of giving your carpet a thorough cleaning.
Secure important items to keep them safe
Our technicians will always ensure that they work as carefully as possible, but it’s a fact of life- accidents happen! For this reason, we ask you to secure anything fragile or valuable, like family heirlooms, in a place that’s out of the way. This will minimize unnecessary risks and help prevent anything from happening to them during the cleaning process.
Identify problem areas
While our carpet cleaning crew will make sure to conduct a spot test as part of our thorough pre-inspection process, you know your carpet better than anyone. Don’t hesitate to let us know if there are specific areas you would like them to focus on, or problem spots that might need extra attention. If you have any questions, they’ll be happy to answer and recommend the ideal cleaning method to make sure your whole carpet is equally refreshed.
Keep pets in a different room
The formulas that make up our Hot Carbonating Extraction process are non-toxic and perfectly safe for pets, but it’s hard to get the job done well if there are animals underfoot and investigating all the strange new sights, sounds and smells! Please take a moment to secure your pet in a separate room (or behind a puppy gate) before our carpet cleaners arrive in your home. Soon enough, they’ll have a sparkling clean carpet to frolic and play on, but until then, it’s best to keep them out of the way.
Keep parking in mind
Our carpet cleaning process sometimes requires van-mounted equipment, so things will go much more smoothly if we’re able to park as close to the door as possible. Even when the services you request don’t require that specific equipment, everything we do need will still have to be carried from the van to your front door by us. This is why we ask all our clients to help facilitate parking as close as possible and leave a clear path.
With our expert crew, every step in getting your carpet cleaned is simpler than ever! Contact us today and take the first step toward a cleaner, fresher, and healthier carpet.
